UCD Student Archaeology Journal
Welcome to the website of Trowel, the student archaeology journal of University College Dublin, Ireland.
Trowel has a long history of publishing scholarly articles on archaeology by students in UCD and further afield. The first volume of Trowel was published in 1988. The last volume, Volume XII, was launched in UCD in early November 2010. The launch was a great success and we would like to thank all those who attended, and in particular Professor Seamas Caulfield for launching the volume.
Volume XIII has just issued a call for papers!!! We hope that the current edition is as successful as the previous one!!

Trowel Volume XIII
The UCD Archaeology Journal are delighted to announce a call for papers for Volume XIII of Trowel. The Journal provides a platform for postgraduates and early career researchers to express their views and begin their publishing career!!
Trowel was first established in 1988 and since then has published many scholarly articles on archaeology by students in UCD and further afield.
We welcome proposals for papers from interested parties across all areas of archaeology. We also encourage those from a scientific, historical or classical background who share an interest in archaeology to submit papers.
Articles should be no longer than 3,000 words. Abstracts (300 words max.) to be submitted by 30th September to: trowelucd@gmail.com
Provisional Deadline for submission of papers: November 30th 2011. We
